The market Is Experiencing Mild Volatility

The market is experiencing mild volatility. Within the first ten minutes of trade, Sensex saw a swing of 159 points between high and low of 37,663.12 and 37,503.74, respectively.

The Indian market traded flat in early deals as gains in shares of HDFC Bank, Hindustan Unilever and ICICI Bank were offset by losses in those of TCS, Reliance Industries and Infosys.

The rupee depreciated by 14 paise to close at 71.02 against the US dollar on October 7 as profit booking in domestic equities and unabated foreign fund outflows kept investors edgy, as per PTI.

Yes Bank considers stake sale: Yes Bank is in discussion with three technology companies, including software major Microsoft, for strategic investment, reported Mint. 

“The top management of Yes Bank held discussions with Microsoft as part of the bank’s ongoing strategy to sell a minority stake to a global tech company,” a source told the paper.

Shares of VST Tillers Tractors added 3 percent intraday on October 7 after the company reported better sales numbers in September 2019.

Asian markets were trading firm after data showed the US unemployment rate dropped to the lowest in almost 50 years, easing concerns of a slowdown in the world’s largest economy.

Trends on SGX Nifty indicate a positive opening for the broader index in India. Around 0755 hours IST, the Nifty futures were trading at 11,216-level, up 10 points or 0.09 percent, on the Singaporean Exchange.

US markets rallied on Friday after moderate job growth in September offered relief from a spate of dismal economic data this week that has rankled markets and fueled concerns the world’s largest economy may be sliding into a recession.

Zee Entertainment Jumps 9% After Lenders Extend Repayment Deadline

Shares of Zee Entertainment Enterprises surged 9 percent on BSE on October 3 after the company said that the lenders had agreed to give it another six months to repay debt.

In an interview to CNBC-TV18, Punit Goenka, chief executive officer, on October 1 said, "Zee is working with the lenders with all options to explore and find a solution on the stake sale and the resolution stake sale that we had proposed of another 10 percent." Goenka said the amount due to the Indian lenders was around Rs 5,000 crore.
